Jazmine Sullivan
Jazmine was born and was raised from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam, Jazmine's mother, was once a backing singer who was a part of Philadelphia International Records. Her father gave her an opportunity to be the curator for the Historic Strawberry Mansion. She and her family later moved into the iconic. As a 2005 Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts student, she is a major in the field of vocal music. Sullivan started singing in the contralto section of the kids' choir, and then just a few years later, in the adult group. Sullivan's exposure to secular music was at first limited "I performed solos at church and someone wanted me to sign to an evangelical label when I was 11 years old, but I wasn't ready to do that," she recalls. Then, McDonald's held a contest with children from large cities. I was able to sing "Accept what God allows" at it's Showtime At the Apollo. And the audience was very supportive. When she was 13 years old, she sang along alongside Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday celebration. Sullivan was signed initially to Jive Records at the age 15. Sullivan was initially signed by Jive Records in the year 15. She was the producer of an entire album. The album did not see release. Sullivan was later dismissed at the hands of the company. The singer maintained a relationship with Missy Elliott and produced some of the songs in her debut album which included the hit single "Backstabbers" that was written and produced by Timbaland and composed by Elliott.
